a short description of project :

This installation will be in two rooms, the dining area and the laundry room, creating a dialogue between the conflicting purposes of the rooms and using the typical objects found in them as a catalyst for the work.

about current work :

The inanimate object is at the centre of my work. I use household objects as a catalyst to disgust or intrigue my audience by perverting it in some way. The domestic setting provides a forum for these objects. The specific and personal relationship people have with household items provokes strong reactions. Distorting familiar objects with approachable aesthetics is intended to simultaneously invite and repel the viewer. I work in 2D and 3D formats using a combination of found objects, assemblage and traditional art practices.
