a short description of project :

‘true fiction’ is an intimate sound installation which considers the real and fictional limits of subjectivity and has been constructed from interviews conducted with the general public in Scotland.

‘real fiction’, proceeds from an engagement with the residents of Bruntsfield Hostel, and considers the reality/fiction of identity articulated in transient encounters between travellers.

about current work :

In broad terms, my practice explores various means of the articulation and construction of identity, ranging from the adoption or construction of character or stories, the engagement with hobbies or collections and the appropriation of fashion or costume.

Recently I have explored these issues by engaging with a particular group or community, proceeding from a question or scenario and developing the work in relation to or by using the information that is given.
