current work :
My current practice is centred on drawing and the extension of drawing into three-dimensions and installation. The techniques I use are slight, decorative and playful, often using collage and appropriating images and text from a variety of sources. I am interested in using themes of violence, subjugation and humiliation, subverting them and exploiting them for my own ends.

brief biography :
Catherine graduated in 2001 from an MA Fine Art degree at Edinburgh College of Art and has recently taken part in exhibitions at The Traverse Theatre and Patriothall Gallery. Forthcoming projects include working with Discogroup Newcastle.
