‘Chariot Circle’ conveys the celebratory and fleeting energy of youth hostel travellers.
‘Belief Systems 3’ . Glass drops are suspended from intriguing features in numbered settings.
I continue to work mainly in sculpture and installation, where I can substantively and physically embody ideas taking shape. I see my performance, sound art and video work as discursive engagements that can reach into encapsulated viewpoints, and towards the nuances of rare times and altering places.
The materials I use are an evolving vocabulary: I resist becoming captivated by a particular substance whilst exploring it. I intend to find the magic in observed familiar objects, and pin-pointed life-time experiences (– non-verbalised and outspoken, integral or ephemeral) by uniting them with often uncharted sensory presences.
