current work : This event forms part of an ongoing performance project commissioned by the Tramway in Glasgow. We have been questioning our evolution and trying to right the multitude of wrongs we see and perpetrate. Through rehearsals, writing, research and events, we are finding the answers trickier than the questions, but are putting it all together to make a studio-based performance to present our findings. dumb bunny, will be performed at the Tramway, Glasgow on 8th, 9th, 10th October 2003. |

brief biography : reader is a collaborative performance group based in Glasgow, dedicated to the production of new theatre, site specific works and associated projects in digital media, video and installation. At the heart of the group's work is a shared authorship through processes of collaboration. Working with elements of found and original text, lighting, sound, physicality and technology, reader focus on the composition of live performance in response to experiences of twenty-first century life. reader formed at Dartington College of Arts in 2001. Since then we have created and toured two full length studio pieces and created several performance events for alternative spaces. reader also devise and deliver workshops on collaborative practice and composition. We are currently working on a Dark Lights commission from Tramway. |
