The work danny HOLCROFT presents to the general public appears as subtle interventions into everyday surroundings, often being scattered throughout the city in numerous locations, with the sites being determined by chance. Some pieces are perhaps more perceptible than others, especially as there is no additional highlighting of the pieces which would set them apart from the context in which they are produced and displayed. The work plays on the awareness the public has of their milieu. The only thing that may serve to distinguish the pieces from their environment is the evidence that there has been deliberate activity within the site.
