Technique for Revealing the Invisible

Dickie’s abstract video and sound installation will explore the physicality of the Watch House’s recreation room without the viewer ever being able to see the room directly.
Within the recreation room, a corridor will be constructed, designed so as to obscure the recreation room itself. The end wall of this corridor will act as a screen to present abstract video works: the sound and images being Dickie’s response to data representing the physical make-up up of both the space and the artist. The images will be continuous and seamless with no beginning, end, or duration as the work serves to demarcate the conceptual boundaries of the site.
