Venue: 175 Saltmarket Description of artwork: The work was composed of two visual displays, an old slide unit and a new 7" LCD screen. Slides hauntingly scrolled through vacant spaces in Glasgow while the LCD showed construction of new spaces in a fast paced environment. The work aimed to juxtapose the desire for progression and for nostalgia. Inspired by today's throw away culture and its bi-product of excess waste, in many areas of modern culture, the work aimed to encourage the public to reflect and consider their place in this ever changing production line.
