E m e r g e D promotes and enables emerging artists across a broad range of disciplines with a fresh focus on site and context.  We create innovative contemporary art projects in orphaned spaces out-with the conventional gallery system which engage new and diverse audiences in dialogue with contemporary art and artists.

[vsf] II is based on the highly successful [vsf] (see archive for more details). It will be housed in the Merchant City area of Glasgow’s city centre in a vacant shop front and will be a transient venue, moving to new vacant shop fronts throughout the area on an irregular basis.

[vsf] II provides a platform for emerging artists to experiment with and exhibit, site specific / context responsive practice. Each artists project lasts for a fortnight, running from Sunday to second Sunday (installation and take down included) although this can be negotiable for specific projects.
